Mr Patrick Koh Hwee Meng 

Managing Director

Mr Koh Hwee Meng Patrick is our Managing Director responsible for overseeing the strategy and operations of the Company. He is also responsible for QXY’s business expansions and organisational development to achieve our Group’s vision and business objectives. He established QXY Resources with Ms Elyn Tan in May 2004 and grew it into a main contractor with approximately 100 employees. Under his leadership, QXY Resources has become an award-winning Urban Renewal Specialist today.

Mr. Koh is an entrepreneur with almost 40 years of operational experience in the construction industry. He started his career in January 1979 at the Housing and Development Board of Singapore as a technical assistant. From 1981 to 1983, Mr. Koh worked as a quantity surveyor separately in NT Tham & Associate, Contech Construction Pte Ltd and Tong Hup Seng Construction Pte Ltd. In June 1983, he joined Hok Mee Construction Pte Ltd as a senior quantity surveyor where he was responsible for, among others, setting up the contract section, project tendering, as well as selection and negotiation of sub-contractor quotations. Two years later, in June 1985, he joined Kansai Paint(S) Pte Ltd as an assistant contracts manager. Between 1998 and 2004, Mr. Koh managed PKS Contracts Services Pte Ltd. In May 2004, Mr. Koh co-founded QXY Resources with Ms. Elyn Tan.

Mr. Koh obtained a technician diploma in Building from the Singapore Polytechnic in August 1976 and a professional diploma in Construction from the Singapore Institute of Building in July 1986. Mr. Koh further obtained a master of science degree in Construction Project Management in November 2012 from the Heriot-Watt University in United Kingdom (through long distance learning conducted in Singapore). He also obtained a specialist diploma in Construction Productivity from the BCA Academy in November 2016. Mr. Koh received the Teochew Entrepreneur Award, Prestige Category in 2016.
