Mr Patrick Koh (MSc, CPM)

Managing Director

Patrick has been serving the construction industry for more than 30 years. He holds a Masters of Science in Construction Project Management.

Having amassed experience working with construction consultancy firms and main contractors, he embarked on his entrepreneurship journey in 1996 and subsequently founded QXY Resources Pte Ltd in 2004. The company started out by tendering for small-scale sub-contract jobs in repair and redecoration.

Under his leadership, QXY Resources has grown steadily into an established company with a track record offering construction services such as design and build, interior fit-out, addition and alteration, and repair and redecoration. This was not after he failed in many ventures, but each setback had him come back with greater fighting spirit.

Patrick believes in continuous learning and attained Masters of Science in Project Management from Heriot-Watt University at the age of 56 and Specialist Diploma in Construction Productivity at the age of 59.

In 2010, he co-founded an interior design company id212 Pte Ltd with Ms Celine Chia. id212 has since completed several high-profile engagements with Wildlife Reserve Singapore (the River Safari) and Universal Studios Singapore. id212 is the recipient of the BEI Asia Award for three consecutive years. More recently, id212 has also been awarded the BEI Inspiring Award of the year 2016.

In 2013, Mr Koh identified Mr Zhan Yang as a key partner and began QXY Resources’ venture into the People’s Republic of China. QXY Construction Management Pte Ltd, QXY’s first subsidiary was incorporated to provide construction management services in Shenyang, China.

In the same year, Innovention Engineering Pte Ltd was incorporated to provide Project Management Service to the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) sector.

Further on that year, Mr Koh formed another associate company INCA Builders & Engineering Pte Ltd with Mr Loges Sinniah, specialists in structural and civil engineering.

In 2016, Patrick was awarded the inaugural Teochew Entrepreneurship Award under the Prestige Category. This award recognizes successful and promising Teochew entrepreneurs who not only contribute to the business community and economy but also the social community.

Patrick sees his role in entrepreneurship beyond the success of his own company. He continues to identify good candidates to groom as entrepreneurs who could become strategic partners for QXY. He has set new vision for his team to become a regionally renown construction company.
